lovely morning

Had a couple of appointments this morning, and even though it was still a chilly May, that sun was out!
I finished early so I had the chance to even buy some lunch uptown before I headed back to work.
I often wonder what it is to have a 'life of leisure' - meaning, I wonder why on earth isn't everyone at work, why are there a lot of people just lingering about - enjoying the day, when I'm cooped up most of the time?

I was driving back with the window rolled (who "rolls" windows in cars anymore) down. Driving down Bayview ave. I caught the scent of freshly cut grass beside the park I used to go to when I was younger.

Gez, I thought when was the last time I smelt fresh cut grass? It's like I was caught in a early childhood memory... even though it was not too long ago.

Well, it has already been about 6 yrs since I've moved downtown.

Sure, I'm close to a lot of things, I can bike or transit it, and sometimes even walk it. I don't have a long commute. Heart of the city almost and what people may say - close to where all the action is. Since then, I have had a recurrent (chronic) "cold" that comes by several times a year that I believe has never even left me, I've had what I deem as possible "allergies", constant dry throat, constant "stuffiness" occasional nose bleeds due to the dry air, and recently scored a 7 on the carbon monoxide device from the RT at work (I don't smoke).

All the not so wonderful costs of living in this concrete jungle!
