It is surrounded by busy main roads and side residential ones.
There is a road in particular that is a short connection between two MAIN streets.
Two main streets.
One of the main streets practically starts on one end of this huge ass city and ends on the other end, yep, street cars and everything! The other main street parallel to this is almost as busy - definitely a route to take if the other one is jam packed.
There is a small residential street that connects these two main streets. Apparently one of the many most desirable streets in the big ol city. Its close to a lot of things, restaurants, shops, health centres, drug stores, pharmacies, public transit, condos, a gas station. This connecting street is filled with huge million dollar homes and apparently infiltrated with young families with a bunch of kids. Thats lovely. Lively residential area.
But what isn't lovely is the various signs up throughout the year saying "slow down" "kids at play" and huge traffic enforcement monitors and unmonitored kids playing on the sidewalk AND road, road hockey and playing catch by the street and neighbours kids running across the street at all times to play with other neighboring kids. This happens during rush hour at the end of the day.
And sometimes when there are the large parent social events that gather as well, they give you nasty looks like - what are you doing driving down this road! Don't you see there are kids at play all or' da place? Our children own this road. How dare you! I'm watching you ! And they stare sometimes practically twisting their head off as I drive by.
I get that you live where you live and have a right to your rights, but practically speaking.... this ain't a CUL DE SAC!!! Stop acting like it is one!! You cannot expect a playground in the middle of the street when you chose to live by one of the busiest streets downtown.
