Finally 1st game of the season!!!!

Too bad it doesnt count in the league - it was just for fun

But I gotta roll with it!

Just gotta practice!
I had 2 extra games this week. Mind you with people that never played squash before.
Things I learned about squash or what squash has taught me:
  • Once you hit the ball, dont think too much about what you have done, get prepared for the next shot!
  • Always look at/ focus on the ball
  • But still always be aware of where the competition is to anticipate where they will be and how they will hit back
  • You have to think fast of the present and future shot, and let go of the past shot
  • To be prepared, get to the T after you hit the ball... Its the most advantageous position and less energy expenditure for any shot that is given to you
  • Keep active to improve your stamina, however, its mostly about strategy and your position
  • Dont "give" people points cause they dont play as well as you do, play your best always, everyone learns from that, but be kind.
  • Every point counts, don't relax when you are ahead and don't give up hope when you are behind.
  • Playing someone better than you sucks when you lose, but makes you a better squash player - its the only way to improve!
