150....

So this year Canada turns 150 yrs old.
humph. Thats it?
For some reason I feel Canada is much older than it is...
That seems still so pretty young for this wild ol' country of ours.

The other night, my girlfriends and I were talking about getting some red and white gear for the big day - you see, unfortunately, we aren't as patriotic as our red, white, blue and stars and all, neighbours down south.
I think we should be!
I went to Ottawa one year for Canada day about 10 yrs ago and it was such a wonderful feeling being in a sea of red, white and maple leafs, to feel you belong and celebrate something in common with those around you - like we are part of some marvelous team of comradery.

Later on after that night, one of my gfs emails me to say she found a shirt for Canada day:



Then she said "...although, we'd probably get stoned to death, especially in Ottawa!"

haha. Yep, Pretty much.

Oh Canada.... our true north, strong and free..... bahaha....
