40 days of Happy Day 3

Today it supposively plus 2 C! Clear sunny skies!  March break for the kiddos.

 

I'm happy my dad took me skating when I was 6 years old. I'm sure he was learning himself being that he grew up in a tropical place. Thank you dad :) 

So beautiful out! Sunshine on my face. It makes me happy now, when before as a youngster I would shy away from it.

Thank you Rouge UW... Im guessing it may have been my last year there.... who knows, fun times!
This was a surprisingly happy event today.
Thankful I got to wear a dress and spent a great night with good friends.

Another thing that made me happy today is going to my real estate info session. It's not an ordinary RE session.

It takes me away for a bit and inspires me to do more for myself and future ....  Shows me I have more control Over it than I thought. Surrounded by inspiring people with integrity and good values and is, in itself, an investment in my knowledge. It also makes me think about my personal life to some extent - and the values of others that I meet in every day life.

40 days of happy! Day 1

Day 1:

I found myself needing to clear my head and maybe say stuff that needed to be said or just reflect. I found myself going to a place where, in an instant in time, I was at one of my most happiest!

I went to see the remains of a great snowman named Jean Francois. 

I was glad to see his bottom half was still pretty solid - A good foundation weathering the elements and vandals. Reminded me of the great strong guy who made this largest part. I had to help him push it in the end. haha!

Jean Francios still had his coffee and I left my writing on the snow.

I looked up to see a shining star (or planet, who knows) through clear skies. 

Then standing in silence, I could hear the sound of blades glazing across the ice!

Who knew there was a rink just behind the pool! ( I hardly go here) And apparently they just opened it again - the man and his son skating that night explained it to me. 

Luckily, I still had my skates in the trunk.

.... These things, and being lucky to have such happy memories are what made me happy today.

One of the happiest days I have had in a very long time. 

I'm glad it was captured by the person who made it so happy.

Sad looking back at it. But will always be so very thankful I was blessed with that day. 

Here's to more happy days ahead for everyone.

TTC - morning beef.

.... The most inefficient way....

Maybe there was a time long long ago when street cars served their purpose.

But this day and age, it is quite ridiculous - especially when only one breaks down, this is what happens to everyone else...

It seems that any other large metropolitan city has a more efficient system.... Yet we do not learn from them.

Is that a ....?!?$&

This week I've been fighting a cold.

With my usual concoction of lemon, honey, ginger and cinnamon.

With a pack of Ricola - lemon honey flavor.

With Vogel echinaforce throat spray.

And with double batches if good ol' home made chicken soup!

- of course the latter requires consumption with bread. So since I'm cutting back in the carbs I decided to get the multigrain type.

This week I've also been slightly freaking out every time I saw this:

.... A bed bug on my office floor?!?$&

No.

It's just a flax seed.

Damn those flaxseeds! 

Listen Up "Country Harvest" Bread makers: whole flaxseeds :

#1 - must be ground to have any nutritional value

#2 - look a hell of a lot like beg bugs from far away.

- so please for my health an well being - you should fix that.
